34. Surah Saba (Sheba)
سُورَةُ سبأReciter: Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy • Guided by Ustadha Maryam Al-Dimashqiyyah
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱلْحَمْدُal-ḥamduAll praise
لِلَّهِlillahi(is due) to Allah
ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe One to Whom
لَهُۥlahubelongs
مَاmāwhatever
فِىfī(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَمَاwamāand whatever
فِىfī(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earth
وَلَهُwalahuand to Him (belongs)
ٱلْحَمْدُl-ḥamduall praise
فِىfīin
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِl-ākhiratithe Hereafter
وَهُوَwahuwaAnd He
ٱلْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmu(is) the All-Wise
ٱلْخَبِيرُl-khabīruthe All-Aware
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, to whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and to Him belongs [all] praise in the Hereafter. And He is the Wise, the Acquainted.
وَحِيلَwaḥīlaAnd a barrier will be placed
بَيْنَهُمْbaynahumbetween them
وَبَيْنَwabaynaand between
مَاmāwhat
يَشْتَهُونَyashtahūnathey desire
كَمَاkamājust as
فُعِلَfuʿilawas done
بِأَشْيَاعِهِمbi-ashyāʿihimwith their kind
مِّنminfrom
قَبْلُqablubefore
إِنَّهُمْinnahumIndeed, they
كَانُوا۟kānūwere
فِىfīin
شَكٍّshakkindoubt
مُّرِيبٍۭmurībindisquieting
And prevention will be placed between them and what they desire, as was done with their kind before. Indeed, they were in disquieting doubt.
