76. Surah Al-Insan (The Man)
سُورَةُ الإنسانReciter: Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy • Guided by Ustadha Fatima Al-Zahra
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
هَلْhalHas (not)
أَتَىٰatācome
عَلَىʿalāupon
ٱلْإِنسَٰنِl-insāniman
حِينٌḥīnuna period
مِّنَminaof
ٱلدَّهْرِl-dahritime
لَمْlamnot
يَكُنyakunhe was
شَيْـًٔاshayana thing
مَّذْكُورًاmadhkūranmentioned
Has there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned?
يُدْخِلُyud'khiluHe admits
مَنmanwhom
يَشَآءُyashāuHe wills
فِىfīinto
رَحْمَتِهِۦraḥmatihiHis mercy
وَٱلظَّٰلِمِينَwal-ẓālimīnaand (for) the wrongdoers
أَعَدَّaʿaddaHe has prepared
لَهُمْlahumfor them
عَذَابًاʿadhābana punishment
أَلِيمًۢاalīmanpainful
He admits whom He wills into His mercy; but the wrongdoers — He has prepared for them a painful punishment.
