1. Surah Al-Fatihah (The Opener)
سُورَةُ الفاتحةReciter: Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy • Guided by Ustadha Maryam Al-Dimashqiyyah
بِسْمِbis'miIn (the) name
ٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allah
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِl-raḥmānithe Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmithe Most Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful.
ٱلْحَمْدُal-ḥamduAll praises and thanks
لِلَّهِlillahi(be) to Allah
رَبِّrabbithe Lord
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَl-ʿālamīnaof the universe
[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds —
ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِal-raḥmāniThe Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmithe Most Merciful
The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
مَٰلِكِmāliki(The) Master
يَوْمِyawmi(of the) Day
ٱلدِّينِl-dīni(of the) Judgment
Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.
إِيَّاكَiyyākaYou Alone
نَعْبُدُnaʿbuduwe worship
وَإِيَّاكَwa-iyyākaand You Alone
نَسْتَعِينُnastaʿīnuwe ask for help
It is You we worship and You we ask for help.
ٱهْدِنَاih'dināGuide us
ٱلصِّرَٰطَl-ṣirāṭa(to) the path
ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَl-mus'taqīmathe straight
Guide us to the straight path —
صِرَٰطَṣirāṭa(The) path
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those
أَنْعَمْتَanʿamtaYou have bestowed Favors
عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimon them
غَيْرِghayrinot (of)
ٱلْمَغْضُوبِl-maghḍūbithose who earned wrath
عَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimon themselves
وَلَاwalāand not
ٱلضَّآلِّينَl-ḍālīna(of) those who go astray
The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray.
