61. Surah As-Saf (The Ranks)
سُورَةُ الصفReciter: Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy • Guided by Ustadha Fatima Al-Zahra
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
سَبَّحَsabbaḥaGlorifies
لِلَّهِlillahiAllah
مَاmāwhatever
فِىfī(is) in
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavens
وَمَاwamāand whatever
فِىfī(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earth
وَهُوَwahuwaand He
ٱلْعَزِيزُl-ʿazīzu(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُl-ḥakīmuthe All-Wise
Whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allah, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO you
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnawho
ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieve
كُونُوٓا۟kūnūBe
أَنصَارَanṣārahelpers
ٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allah
كَمَاkamāas
قَالَqālasaid
عِيسَىʿīsāIsa
ٱبْنُib'nuson
مَرْيَمَmaryama(of) Maryam
لِلْحَوَارِيِّـۧنَlil'ḥawāriyyīnato the disciples
مَنْmanWho
أَنصَارِىٓanṣārī(are) my helpers
إِلَىilāfor
ٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah
قَالَqālaSaid
ٱلْحَوَارِيُّونَl-ḥawāriyūnathe disciples
نَحْنُnaḥnuWe
أَنصَارُanṣāru(are) the helpers
ٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allah
فَـَٔامَنَتfaāmanatThen believed
طَّآئِفَةٌṭāifatuna faction
مِّنۢminof
بَنِىٓbanī(the) Children
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَis'rāīla(of) Israel
وَكَفَرَتwakafaratand disbelieved
طَّآئِفَةٌṭāifatuna faction
فَأَيَّدْنَاfa-ayyadnāSo We supported
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose who
ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieved
عَلَىٰʿalāagainst
عَدُوِّهِمْʿaduwwihimtheir enemy
فَأَصْبَحُوا۟fa-aṣbaḥūand they became
ظَٰهِرِينَẓāhirīnadominant
O you who have believed, be supporters of Allah, as when Jesus, the son of Mary, said to the disciples, 'Who are my supporters for Allah?' The disciples said, 'We are supporters of Allah.' And a faction of the Children of Israel believed and a faction disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant.
