66. Surah At-Tahrim (The Prohibition)
سُورَةُ التحريمReciter: Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy • Guided by Ustadha Fatima Al-Zahra
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَمَرْيَمَwamaryamaAnd Maryam
ٱبْنَتَib'natadaughter
عِمْرَٰنَʿim'rāna(of) 'Imran
ٱلَّتِىٓallatīwho
أَحْصَنَتْaḥṣanatguarded
فَرْجَهَاfarjahāher chastity
فَنَفَخْنَاfanafakhnāso We breathed
فِيهِfīhiinto it
مِنminof
رُّوحِنَاrūḥināOur Spirit
وَصَدَّقَتْwaṣaddaqatand she believed
بِكَلِمَٰتِbikalimātiin (the) Words
رَبِّهَاrabbihā(of) her Lord
وَكُتُبِهِۦwakutubihiand His Books
وَكَانَتْwakānatand she was
مِنَminaof
ٱلْقَٰنِتِينَl-qānitīnathe devoutly obedient
And [the example of] Mary, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity, so We blew into [her garment] through Our angel, and she believed in the words of her Lord and His scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient.
