83. Surah Al-Mutaffifin (The Defrauding)
سُورَةُ المطففينReciter: Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy • Guided by Ustadha Fatima Al-Zahra
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
وَيْلٌwaylunWoe
لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَlil'muṭaffifīnato those who give less
Woe to those who give less [than due],
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose who
إِذَاidhāwhen
ٱكْتَالُوا۟ik'tālūthey take a measure
عَلَىʿalāfrom
ٱلنَّاسِl-nāsithe people
يَسْتَوْفُونَyastawfūnathey take in full
Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full.
هَلْhalHave (not)
ثُوِّبَthuwwibabeen rewarded
ٱلْكُفَّارُl-kufāruthe disbelievers
مَاmā(for) what
كَانُوا۟kānūthey used to
يَفْعَلُونَyafʿalūnado
Have the disbelievers [not] been rewarded [this Day] for what they used to do?
