3. Surah Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran)
سُورَةُ آل عمرانReciter: Sheikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy • Guided by Ustadha Maryam Al-Dimashqiyyah
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
ٱللَّهُallahuAllah
لَآlā(there is) no
إِلَٰهَilāhagod
إِلَّاillāexcept
هُوَhuwaHim
ٱلْحَىُّl-ḥayyuthe Ever-Living
ٱلْقَيُّومُl-qayyūmuthe All-Sustaining
Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence.
نَزَّلَnazzalaHe sent down
عَلَيْكَʿalaykaupon you
ٱلْكِتَٰبَl-kitābathe Book
بِٱلْحَقِّbil-ḥaqqiin truth
مُصَدِّقًاmuṣaddiqanconfirming
لِّمَاlimāwhat
بَيْنَbayna(was) before
يَدَيْهِyadayhiit
وَأَنزَلَwa-anzalaand He revealed
ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةَl-tawrātathe Torah
وَٱلْإِنجِيلَwal-injīlaand the Gospel
He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammad], the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
مِنminFrom
قَبْلُqablubefore
هُدًىhudanas guidance
لِّلنَّاسِlilnnāsifor mankind
وَأَنزَلَwa-anzalaand He revealed
ٱلْفُرْقَانَl-fur'qānathe Criterion
Before, as guidance for the people. And He revealed the Criterion [i.e., the Qur'an].
يَٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāO you
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnawho
ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieve
ٱصْبِرُوا۟iṣ'birūBe patient
وَصَابِرُوا۟waṣābirūand endure
وَرَابِطُوا۟warābiṭūand remain stationed
وَٱتَّقُوا۟wattaqūand fear
ٱللَّهَl-lahaAllah
لَعَلَّكُمْlaʿallakumso that you may
تُفْلِحُونَtuf'liḥūnabe successful
O you who have believed, persevere and endure and remain stationed and fear Allah that you may be successful.
